His Holiness the 17th Karmapa has recommended that we recite this prayer, “The Verses that Saved Sakya from Sickness: A Prayer for Pacifying the Fear of Disease,” and dedicate it to the coronavirus which is spreading rapidly in China and around the world. It is an extremely powerful prayer which has been very effective with epidemics in the past.
Thank you for your participation. May all beings have happiness and the causes of happiness.

Karma Sonam Dargye Ling has made the decision, for the safety of the Lamas and all of the attendees of KSDL activities, to close the temple for the next few weeks.
All pujas are cancelled and the temple is now closed to visitors.
We hope to arrange for webcasts of KSDL pujas and teachings, and we will contact you by email when arrangements have been made. Updates re wecast activities will also be posted.
His Holiness the Sakya Trizin, Ratna Vajra Rinpoche, has cancelled his upcoming trip to Toronto, so the special KSDL Member’s audience and teaching is postponed until his trip is rescheduled.
On behalf of Lama Tenzin Lama Galo, and the monastics at KSDL, we pray that this situation will soon be resolved, and we wish all of our members and friends peace and good health in the days to come. Please continue to chant the prayer, for the benefit of all beings, recommended by his Holiness the Karmapa, which was sent in an earlier email and is also available on the website. We will send regular updates regarding KSDL activities, but if you have any questions or concerns please notify us at and I will your message to Lama Tenzin and Lama Galo.
